Boiled Peanuts
In the southern section of the United States it is common to boil peanuts. Happens to be that this allows a lot of anti-oxidants to be extracted. This method could allow a person to stave off diabetes and cancer.
"Lloyd Walker and colleagues evaluated the effect of boiling and oil- and dry-roasting on peanuts. They found that boiled peanuts - South Carolina's official snack food - contained up to four times more isoflavones than raw peanuts or oil- and dry-roasted ones."

Certain Fatty foods (ex. Pulled Pork, ribs, fried Chicken) cause a greater risk of gaining type two diabetes.
